Velana International Airport (MLE) is the Maldives' main international gateway, on Hulhulé island next to the capital, Malé. A new international passenger terminal opened in 2025, the older building now handles domestic flights, and resort seaplanes leave from the dedicated Noovilu seaplane terminal. The airport is linked by road to Hulhumalé and, across the Sinamalé Bridge, to Malé.
